HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

wantley manor

Wantley is mentioned in the Domesday Book, though whether there was a habitation there is questionable. The present house lies at the junction of London Road and Nyes Close, tucked away behind high hedges. The rear part dates from the 14th century and is part of the original hall house.
