stretham manor

Stretham, lies to the south-west of the village and has been a pivotal site for the village from Saxon times, becoming the home of the Bishop. The manor house, close to the present Downs Link footpath, has been rebuilt many times. The present house,. is part of a much larger timber-framed house dating from around 1450.
