South View Terrace is a fine row of houses in the village, with stunning views over the South Downs. The terrace, which was built after 1880 and is in the west half of King James Lane, and can be seen from many viewpoints in the brooks below the village. The street is not mentioned by name in the 1881 census, but is mentioned in the 1901 census.
