School bell, Bramble Cottage: Bramble Cottage, in what was originally School Lane, but is now the footpath section of Church Lane, was originally a school. Now that a high hedge has been cleared away, the school bell is visible from the footpath. Early April 2018.
Metal skeleton, Pinelands 1: Pinelands is a large, modern'ish house sandwiched between Windmill Lane and Sandy Lane. This metal skeleton is relaxing in the garden. Mid-April 2018.
Metal skeleton, Pinelands 2: Same skeleton as before - in close-up. Mid-April 2018.
Wild Violets legs, Tanyard pond: The Wild Violets are a Henfield branch of the Womens' Institute, their name indicating the symbolic colour of the suffragette movement. Each year at the Henfield Gardens & Arts Festival in the second weekend of June, new things suddenly appear in the village. Several pairs of legs with flowers growing out of them - and other things - appeared in 2018! Photo from mid-June.
Wild Violets dragonfly, twitten: This dragonfly by the Wild Violets hangs in a twitten leading from the Tanyard to Broomfield Road. A photo from mid-June 2018.
Seat by the Adur: Just before you reach Bineham bridge walking south, on the east bank of the Adur, is this modern seat. Some wag - possibly a Dave Brubeck fan - has exhorted the weary walker to take five minutes out for a sit-down. Mid-July 2018.
New Inn barns: The footpath from Bineham bridge to the southern end of West End Lane takes you past New Inn farm. These barns stand on the left, just before the gate to the house. Mid-July 2018.
