memorial stone

The creation of the Memorial Field between 1948 and 1950 was topped off with a dedication ceremony to the dead of World War 2, and the Memorial stone was unveiled on 16th September 1950 by Annette Parsons and Peter Collins after an opening ceremony speech by W.A. Maidment.
