LYDDS HOUSE

A lane leads right off the Brighton Road to the White's farm shop - across the road from the cricket pitch. Lydds House faces you as you walk up the lane..

Lydds House 1: Lydds House was originally a small brick bungalow known as Holedean Bungalow - and this is a photo of it taken by a member of the White family in 1930. The house has been much altered since then and enlarged considerably.

Lydds House 2: Walk up the lane from the main road to Lydds house, turn left past the house, then stop and look back. You can see the original brick bungalow structure on the left-hand side of the picture. All the wooden bits were built on much later.
