HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

funfairS

There have been funfairs on Henfield Common for many years. Some are booked for summer village fairs - which are not held on a regular basis - and others book the common space themselves.

MISCELLANY 12

Funfair 1-6: These photographs are of Shayler's Family Funfair, based in Hamble, near Chichester. They were taken a day or so after the fair had arrived on the common. The fair was due to open for three days in mid-July 2016 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday - and the photos were taken on the Thursday afternoon, showing the setting-up in progress.
