HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

the grey house, holly house & ashley house

Just past the Henfield Club, on the right-hand side of Cagefoot Lane, are three Edwardian houses, the Grey House, Holly House and Ashley House.

HOUSES 2

The Grey House: A couple called Mr. and Mrs. Prince ran a small private school in the Grey House in the early years of the 20th century. The house is the first house on the right-hand side of the lane, just past the club. You can see the steps leading up to the first-floor flat above the club - to the right of the photo.

Holly House: Holly House sits in between the Grey House and Ashley House.

Ashley House: The third house on the right-hand side of the lane, past Holly House.

HOUSES 36

Holly House: A picture taken on a sunny afternoon in March 2016 - with no cars in front of the house.
