HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

bowden house

John Bowden started his J.F. Bowden & Son tailors and outfitters business in Church Street in 1906. The business was carried on by his son Mervyn when he retired around 1940. The business closed in 1965 and is currently a firm of accountants. Bowden House is the first building on the left in Church Street after the Henfield Funeral Services yard.
