HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

ameys cottage

Ameys Cottage - sometimes spelled Amy's Cottage or Amey's Cottage - stands at the end of Stonepit Lane, near Lashmars Hall and Blundens. It takes its name from the field it stands on, which was known as Amy's Plot. In 1891 the occupant was labourer Mark Dowlen and his wife Edith, together with their three children.
