HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

the old malthouse

The Old Malthouse is  17th Century or earlier in origin, and was formally a wharf warehouse, then a malt house (reputed to be Henfields original brewery) and subsequently converted to residential use. The entrance to the drive down to the house is sandwiched between the Bull Inn in Shermanbury and the start of Mock Bridge. The Old Malthouse is on the right hand side of the drive, which ends by the entrance to Mockbridge House.
