HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

Miscellany 22 - notes

Woodard Mews Trees: This photo was taken in early August 2017 and shows the magnificent trees standing in or near the grounds of Woodard Mews in Church Street - typical of the many beautiful trees in and around the village.

Bifurcated beech: There are a number of beech trees lining the twitten that runs from the Tanyard to the end of Church Lane - each of them bifurcated, branching in two. Whether they were trained to this, or whether it's natural growth is anyone's guess.

Full of Beans closure: The coffee shop was closed  by its original owners on 11th August 2017. This notice explains why.

Tyre stack, Setyres: Caught while strolling around the Setyres yard one Sunday afternoon. Photo from mid-September 2017.

Spider, Brighton Road: A close-up of a spider in the hedge near the foot of Mill Drive - just finishing its lunch - late September 2017.

Old junction box: This old box nestles in a hedge on the Brighton Road and was photographed in late September 2017. I've no idea whether it's functional or not.

Roller on the Lydds: I've walked past this old agricultural roller many times while on the Lydds. so I thought I'd photograph it at long last. A photo from late September 2017.
