HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

the king's field

Henfield is lucky in having two large playing fields, the Rothery Field and the King's Field. The original King's Field was given to the village by Margaret Knowles of Henfield Place to mark the Silver Jubilee of King George V in 1935. since then, the shape and size has changed with time, with houses, the Leisure Centre, tennis courts and the Northcroft play area all near it.
