croft lane
Croft Lane is the oldest road running off Broomfield Road, and is the first turning on the left as you walk down Broomfield Road from Nep Town Road. The lane is bisected by the more modern Squire Way, which joins up with Broomfield Road further down. Henfield Lodge in Croft Lane was once a private school, started c1870 by Edwin Churcher, and known as Henfield Grammar School.
