COUNTRY VIEWS 11 - NOTES
Adur from Mockbridge House: The main garden of Mockbridge House runs down to the west bank of the river Adur. This view from early April 2016 shows the view across the river to distant farms..
Mock Bridge from Mockbridge House: From the same spot as the photo above but looking along the bank towards Mock Bridge.
Magnolia: This quick snap of magnolia blossom was taken in mid-April 2016 from Furners Lane. The photos listed below were taken on the same day.
Field off Furners Lane: A vista of ploughed field by the side of Furners Lane, with trees and clouds on the northern border.
Henfield woods 1: A footpath leads south off Furners Lane, by the side of what was Gill Orchard farm shop, but is now Bramley House, down to the woods on the northern side of Henfield common. This is a view of the woods with just a hint of new, Spring foliage showing, and the remains of mud from the winter rains.
Henfield woods 2-3: Picture no. 2 shows a rivulet which runs down to join the stream - the Dagbrook - which is the dividing line between the woods and the common. Picture no. 3 shows the Dagbrook itself.
Henfield Common: The grasses on the common always look at their most golden in the late winter and early spring months, and I've photographed them many times. The houses lining the Henfield Common North lane are in the background.
Fawn Rise footpath 1 & 2: A path along the field edge runs out of Fawn Rise and meets up with the London Road at the northern end of Wantley. These photographs from April 2016 show the path looking west and east.
