HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

COUNTRY VIEWS 10 - NOTES

Downs from Windmill Lane footpath: Halfway down Windmill Lane on the left, a footpath runs off to skirt the foot of the bank below South View Terrace. There are magnificent views of the South Downs from this footpath. Slightly to the right of the tree in the left-hand side of this Easter 2016 photo, you can make out Devil's Dyke. To the right of the photo stands Truleigh Hill with its conglomeration of masts. In between the line of trees and the line of the downs, Broadmere Common lies tucked away.
