HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

church street twitten

Church street narrows just before the turning into Church Lane so - to help pedestrians, a higher footpath runs parallel to the road on the north side. I've put the twitten into the "Country Views" section of the website though, strictly speaking, it's a "Street".

COUNTRY VIEWS 6

Church Street twitten: A photo from about 2000, showing the somewhat ramshackle look of the fencing. The main Church Street is to the right, down a steep bank.

COUNTRY VIEWS 9

Church Street twitten 1-2: Photos from March 2016, with new wire fencing replacing the old palings. No falling through this when weaving back from the pub.
