HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

cedar way

A third of the way up Mill Drive, on the right, is the turn to Cedar Way which forks at its end into a hammerhead shape. It was on this site that Barrowhill House stood before being demolished after WW2. The name Cedar Way refers to the massive Lebanon Cedar felled in November 1973 by the council - part of the planting of the famous botanist William Borrer who lived at Barrowhill House.
