HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

BEECHINGS

Halfway down Station Road, as you go down it from Upper Station Road, was where Henfield Railway Station stood until the closure of the Horsham-Shoreham line in 1966. The station was demolished, the track taken up and filled in, and the modern houses in the cul-de-sac now called - with exquisite irony - Beechings were built.
