HENFIELD THEN AND NOW

baigents

Terry Bishop's building business moved from Cooper's Yard (now Cooper's Way) to Golden Square in 1907, and Bishop was joined by Alfred Baigent in 1911. Baigent retired in 1957 and the business was run by Arthur Hobbs and Alfred Farrell until 1970. Then, for several years, a lens grinding shop was based in the building before it became business premises.
