BOTTINGS FARM
A track leading off the footpath from the old railway line which takes you past Little Betley and Cibses carries you on to Botting's Farm and the Bull Inn. The 1841 occupant of the house was 55-year old farmer Richard Knight. Peter Knight, a 64-year old (in 1881) farm bailiff, lived here in 1871 and 1881 with his wife Phillis and their two grown up sons. He was the son of farmer Richard Knight. In 1871, 78-year old widow Elizabeth Street also lived at Botting's.
